I did less cosplay and much more home projects this past week. So this is another short update for you all.

Backyard things
Home improvement plans
Backyard: My partner Z and I spent last weekend getting our backyard ready for enjoying the warmer weather. We got yard furniture set up, planted new ground cover to replace our awful backyard grass, and I made the decision to repair our fabric pergola cover rather than buy a new one.
I made this decision because while the old cover is horribly sun bleached, the one I would have purchased was the same color as the sun bleached fabric… SO I'm going to lean into it and just let the whole thing fade to the same color.
I'm also going to make some adjustments so it fits better AND I can keep it from getting damaged in future storms. But I have to wash the heck out of it first. I will likely do that today while it's beautiful and sunny and warm outside! But it has to get washed before I let it anywhere neat a sewing machine.
Home Improvement: While I have my spare sewing machine upstairs, I also want to work on some projects I've put off for a long time. Shortening some of my curtains and turning the extra fabric into matching throw pillows. I have two in my living room and one in my bedroom to fix up. Hopefully I'll have updates on these projects for you next week!
